Are you going to the IAFP Annual Conference in Cleveland? We are, and we’d love to have you swing by our booth, number 737.
Did you know? The IAFP Annual Meeting is attended by more than 3,500 of the top industry, academic and governmental food safety professionals from all over the world. These are exactly the people we hope to reach with information about 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Moreover, when regulators inspect equipment that has not earned a 3-A Symbol, the PMO encourages them to use the 3-A Standards as a guide to inspection.
Of course, we’ll also be sharing how processors benefit all year long when they choose equipment that conforms with the 3-A Sanitary Standards. Beyond making verification and validation less costly and time-consuming, equipment that has earned the 3-A Symbol delivers a substantial return on investment (ROI). The Standards reduce maintenance costs, minimize food production downtime, optimize cleaning production, decrease water and chemical usage for better sustainability, and – perhaps most importantly – protect the brand from lapses in food safety.
In addition to the benefits and ROI of equipment that has earned the 3-A Symbol, we will be sharing how the IAFP attendees can verify certifications and spot counterfeits using 3-A SSI resources.
Another priority at the 3-A booth is encouraging participation. As a volunteer-led organization, 3-A SSI literally could not do what we do without people who are generous with their time and expertise. So, we will appeal to IAFP attendees to become involved in our work groups and committees. We’ll be ready to show them how their peers are involved in shaping the Standards – and how they can get involved too.
Finally, we’ll host several 10-minute mini-sessions in the 3-A booth. These sessions will offer targeted tools, information and resources to IAFP attendees, aiming to encourage volunteer participation on workgroups and committees, expand the ranks of Certified Conformance Evaluators (CCEs), give students and educators access to helpful content and more.
Although sessions are planned at specific times on July 28 and 29 and participants are encouraged to RSVP, we’re inviting attendees to drop by the 3-A booth anytime to discuss mini-session topics, which include:

Forward-thinking equipment manufacturers and food processors are discovering how 3-A Sanitary Standards can solve their operational problems.
Today, 3-A SSI is the author and steward of nearly 100 food safety standards that remain essential to the U.S. dairy industry and are used internationally.
Greg Marconnet didn't just participate in 3-A SSI's flagship event; he reimagined it from the ground up.
