Maintaining Your Certificates

Annual License Renewal

Your 3-A SSI symbol is licensed through December 31st of each year. Prior to expiration, you will receive a renewal notice your current licensed symbols with instructions to renew your license. The 2026 license renewal fee is $1,175 for each certificate.

5-Year TVP

A TPV re-inspection shall be performed at least every five(5) years from the date of the previous on-site inspection that encompasses allequipment included in the 3-A Symbol Authorization, except as exempted in B8.2.1.2 of the 3-ASSI TPV Manual for fabricators of large or custom equipment, and only whenthe large or custom equipment is not present for inspection. The inspection mustbe completed by one or the 3-ASSI Certified Conformance Evaluators.

Amendments to Your Certification

It is the symbol holders responsibility to provide updated information to 3-A SSI regarding the equipment that holds the 3-A symbol or RPSCQ Certificate.  All changes must be reported to your 3-A SSI Certified Conformance Evaluator.

Details regarding amendments can be found in Section B8.1.4 of the 3-A SSI TPV Manual.

Administrative changes include:

• Updated company name
• Updated or additional company contact information for the company key contact(s) (both email and mailing addresses)
• Updated address of manufacturing facility
• Updated model numbers or size variations

Changes of sanitary significance include changes in:

• Design
• Fabrication
• Materials of construction
• Operational characteristics of the equipment
• Other modifications that require independent evaluation to ensure continued conformance to applicable 3-A Sanitary Standards

To make an amendment to a 3-A Symbol Authorization due to a change of sanitary significance contact a CCE to arrange a review of the changes for the amendment.

3-A Thought Leader Opportunities

Volunteer for one of our committees or working groups.

Ad Hoc Working Groups work to develop new standards as well as update current standards to meet the current needs of the market
