The 3-A SSI team had an amazing time connecting with the industry at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas. We brought energy and expertise to the show floor, achieving several successes and enjoying fantastic engagement with attendees.
We’ll be doing more of the same at EATS 2025, October 28 to 30 in Chicago, and at the IDFA Dairy Tech Conference, October 29 to 30 in Columbus, Ohio.
Our PACK EXPO educational session, "Before You Buy: What Specs Really Matter?" drew a huge crowd, leading to a standing-room-only event.

Meri Beth Wojtaszek, 3-A SSI Executive Director, and Eric Schweitzer, Director, Standards and Certifications, gave equipment buyers practical advice and essential insights to empower their conversations with vendors right there on the show floor.
We actively supported our community of 3-A Symbol and Certificate holders at PACK EXPO by hand-delivering signs directly to their booths to help buyers easily identify conforming equipment and connect with these manufacturers.
The support went both ways—we were thrilled to receive enthusiastic referrals from current Symbol holders who encouraged other equipment fabricators to engage with 3-A and earn the 3-A Symbol. This kind of community support helps the entire industry elevate food safety through hygienic design.
Beyond our session and Symbol holder support, we made other exciting connections at PACK EXPO:
Will you be at EATS 2025 or the IDFA DairyTech Conference? Look for our booth #4245 at EATS 2025.

Building on our success at PACK EXPO, we're making signs to identify 3-A Symbol and Certificate holders on the show floor. In our booth, we’ll be sharing information about how processors can reduce food safety risks with 3-A verified equipment.
Our team will also be onsite for the IDFA DairyTech Conference, where every single session sounds like a winner. With so much rapid innovation happening in the dairy industry today, 3-A Sanitary Standards are more relevant now than ever. (And that’s saying a lot given the 3-A Standards have been solving dairy processors’ challenges for more than 100 years!)

We look forward to making new friends and catching up with old friends at both events.
Have You Met 3-A’s New Executive Director?
EATS 2025 and the IDFA DairyTech Conference are great opportunities to meet 3-A SSI’s new Executive Director, Meri Beth Wojtaszek.

We're taking the value of 3-A certification directly to buyers at PACK EXPO in Las Vegas. We want to give attendees concrete reasons to choose equipment bearing the 3-A Symbol.

3-A SSI awarded eight dedicated food safety students with a Dr. Ron Schmidt Student Travel Award in 2025. Karen Nieto Flores, a PhD candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is featured.

The 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. (3-A SSI) headquarters is moving to a new location in Washington, DC. The move will better serve our mission and the 3-A SSI community. It marks an era of increased growth and collaboration.
