For general information on the 3-A Replacement Part Qualification Certificate and the associated Third Party Verification (TPV) inspection requirements, see Third Party Verification Programs and Resources.
Applicants for a RPQC must submit an application, including all required supporting information and payment, to 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. A company executive is required to sign the application, the Certificate of Quality Control, Certification of Conformance, and the 3-A RPQC Program Agreement.
To obtain the certificate, the supplier must submit a TPV inspection for the replacement part(s) to be covered by the certificate. The certificate cannot be used for equipment covered by its own 3-A Sanitary Standard. The TPV is based on the most stringent criteria available in a relevant base 3- A Sanitary Standard. Certificate holders are subject to the same re-inspection requirements as holders of 3-A Symbol Authorization.
